Getting anything noticed nowadays is a tricky business, but if there is something, glitter and shiny materials have been nothing but short of successful, making various appearances as sneaker canvas, exploring the do’s and don’ts of the sneaker world. Converse’s latest intermezzo with British fashion house JW Anderson has a fresh installment of the unmatched Chuck 70 dressed in a contemporary glittery arrangement. The cult silhouette is designated for excursions of this nature, earlier seen when JW Anderson and Converse previewed a similar look at Pitti Uomo in 2017. Though its design is quite different this time, the tri-panel setup is a natural next step in the evolution of JWA and Converse.
For the launch of the Converse x JW Anderson “Glitter” pack, Converse invited the SNS female staff to Paris, celebrating the teams from all over Europe. While missing the girls from New York and Los Angeles, the team brought an inspiring vibe to the studio and the city of love, matching the narrative of the fun but classic Converse Chuck 70.
